Located in downtown Durango across from the beautiful Strater Hotel

The Living Tree live foods salad bar opened in December of 2016 with a mission to bring healthy, organic, cultured foods to the community.  We live on the principle "let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food." Hippocrates

We offer organic, local when possible produce, grass fed beef and cage free, hormone free chicken.  The Living Tree features the first Kombucha on draft system in Durango.  With a friendly and fun environment aiming to share and educate our customers on the importance of eating live, cultured foods just like our ancestors did.

Come see us this Summer at The Farmer's Market located in the parking lot of First National Bank of Durango across the street from the post office at Camino Del Rio & 8th.  We will be there from 8am-12 noon selling our house made Kombucha on draft, our house made Cultured Foods and our famous wheat free zucchini corn bread by the loaf.  So come fill up your growler to take home or grab a glass of Kombucha while you walk around and get yourself a loaf of cornbread for the family and some cultured foods to enjoy with your next meal!

About

Mission

The Living Tree was born of desire and a need of our own. So we created a place where we would want to eat all the time and we hope that you feel that way also.  All our food is made with love and we think you can taste it.

All our plates, cups, bowls and silverware is compostable.  Our goal is to produce only one bag of trash a week.  Being gardener's ourselves another goal of ours is to have minimal food waste. We understand the time and energy that goes into producing organic fruits and vegetables.
